SODA ASH

SODA ASH is a free flowing powder also known as sodium carbonate (Na2 CO3) used in a fluid system to precipitate calcium (hardness) and increase alkalinity (pH)

Application

SODA ASH is used to treat soluble calcium contamination from the make-up water and fluid system. Treatment is required as calcium ions can severely interfere with the performance of many polymers and bentonite rendering them ineffective.

Typical Physical Properties

Appearance:       White Powder

pH (1% solution):  11 – 11.5

Specific Gravity:    2.4 – 2.6

Advantages

  • Inexpensive treatment for hardness
  • Effective in removing soluble calcium.
  • Promotes maximum product potential.
  • Reduces overall fluid costs.

Packaging

Packaging is available in 25 / 50 Kg bags. Customized packing is available upon request.
