It is especially effective in glycol dehydration systems. It is a versatile liquid capable of effectively removing entrapped air from all types of water-based muds under severe field conditions in a wide range of operations. It is utilized to reduce surface tension in water-based drilling fluids as well as solids free work over and completion fluids. It tolerates high concentration of salts. 

Application:

Silicon Based Defoamer is normally utilized to reduce and control foaming in water-based muds. It suppresses foam in all types of water-based mud including brines over a wide range of ph and temperature. It is compatible with all water-based systems.
